Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses sterilized microscopic needles to create intentional injuries to the top layers of your skin. Your body’s natural response to these micro-injuries will be to produce collagen and elastin proteins that work to heal the punctures that have been created. Microneedling can be done on either the face, hair, or body, where signs of aging may be present. After receiving one treatment, you will notice a reduction in pore size as well as hyperpigmentation. Patients typically undergo three sessions.

What Can I Expect?
Pain
Microneedling is a popular procedure known for producing quick results that our clients love, with little downtime. You can expect to feel slight sharp sensations from the microscopic needles puncturing your skin, but this is typically well-tolerable by patients. Our staff works to ensure you are comfortable throughout the entirety of the procedure.
Recovery
The recovery period will vary from patient to patient. You may experience slight peeling or shedding and your skin may feel tight and dry. It is recommended to apply a hyaluronic acid serum or emollients to speed up the recovery period. To prevent any irritation or damage, avoid UV exposure and apply a broad-spectrum SPF30 sunscreen daily.
Results
You will experience a noticeable reduction in pore size along with hyperpigmentation. You will also see an improvement to your skin’s tone and texture. Within three months, your collagen will be fully regenerated and you will see optimal results. Multiple microneedling treatments are recommended to experience results that prove to be long lasting.
